The CAPES/Brazil, through the PEC-PG Program, offers scholarships for foreign students to pursue graduate studies in Brazil.

Financial Support: CAPES/Brazil, offers scholarships through the PEC-PG Program.

Courses Degree: Doctorate (14 scholarships) and Master (12 scholarships), starting in February 2026.

The graduate studies involve: 1.Ceramic materials and composites; 2. Metals and alloys; 3.Polymers, blends, and composites.

Research scope: functional materials, structural materials, nanomateriais, materials synthesis, materials processing, surface engineering, performance and materials durability, biomaterials, photocatalyst materials, materials computational modelling, etc.

Application sectors: health, environment, building materials, optical and electronic components, biossensors, self- cleaning materials, clean energy, oil and gas, etc.

Eligibility:
Open exclusively to foreign students from countries participating in the PEC-PG Program.

Africa (29 countries): Angola, Algeria, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Kenya, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, and Zambia;

Latin America and the Caribbean (28 countries): Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, and Venezuela;

Asia (10 countries): Bangladesh, China, South Korea, India, Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan.

Europe (7 countries): Syria, Thailand and East Timor; and d) Europe (7 countries): Armenia, Bulgaria, France, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland and Turkey.

Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a bachelor’s (and preferably a master’s) recognized in Brazil.

Must not have Brazilian nationality or permanent residency
